Superman (1941)

Directed by Dave Fleischer

Warner Brothers just posted a handful of the original Max Fleischer Superman cartoons on their YouTube page.  It’s the best picture quality you’ll find online.

“Superman”, aka “The Mad Scientist”, is one of the greatest cartoons I’ve ever seen, and is a huge reason I’ve been a Superman since I was a kid. This is Superman boiled down to his pure essentials, barely saying a word and springing into action, performing incredible feats and daring rescues.
